Hundreds of Swifties Celebrate Taylor Swift’s Birthday at “Taylor Swift Night” on Ice

Hundreds of Taylor Swift fans, affectionately known as Swifties, descended upon ArtsQuest’s Ice Rink at Steelstacks on Wednesday, December 13th, for a special “Taylor Swift Night” to celebrate the pop star’s 34th birthday.

The event was a roaring success, selling out both of its skating sessions with a total of 380 tickets issued, making it the most popular and first themed skate night to sell out in 2023.

The atmosphere was electric as Swifties of all ages and backgrounds came together to celebrate their love for Taylor Swift. The rink was a sea of glitter, cardigans, and friendship bracelets, as fans donned their favorite Swift-inspired outfits and belted out her iconic hits.

One of the highlights of the night was seeing the strong bonds of friendship among Swifties. Many came in groups, singing and dancing together on the ice. Some even wore matching outfits, showcasing their shared love for Taylor.

One such duo was Kelly Sullivan and Sarah Kraemer. Kelly, who was also celebrating her own birthday on December 13th, sported a gold “Happy Birthday” sash and proudly declared “Last year was my Taylor Swift birthday,” referring to turning “22” in 2022. Her favorite song, she revealed, is the poignant “Tolerate It.”

The Warren family was another example of the intergenerational love for Taylor Swift. Sherry Warren, a huge fan herself, rocked a “1989” cardigan, while her nine-year-old daughter, Brooke, sported a Swift sweatshirt and “T” and “S” stickers on her cheeks. Brooke even skipped her favorite after-school activity, dance class, to attend the event and bond with her mom over their shared admiration for the “Karma” singer.

“It’s going to be a Swiftmas this year,” Sherry said, referring to Brooke’s Christmas wish list, which was filled with Swift-related merchandise. “We both love that she is from PA and that she is so kind and talented,” she added.

Meanwhile, the birthday girl herself celebrated in style.

On Tuesday, Taylor kicked off the festivities in New York City with her close friend Selena Gomez, as well as actor Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry. The 12-time Grammy winner reportedly even skipped TIME Magazine’s gala that evening, even though she was named the publication’s Person of the Year.

On Wednesday, Taylor received a special delivery of white flowers, including roses rumored to be from her NFL beau, Travis Kelce. Swifties were buzzing with excitement, hoping that Kelce might pop the question soon, as rumors of an impending proposal swirled in the air.

However, according to Page Six, Kelce was unable to attend the “Taylor Swift Night” due to a prior football commitment with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite his absence, the event remained a joyous celebration of Taylor Swift’s music and the unbreakable bond between her and her fans. The night served as a reminder of the power of music to bring people together and create lasting memories.
